Structural Steel Repair on Bridge carrying Route 82 over Route 9 NB and SB in the town of Chester

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge repair will be performed on Bridge #01682 carrying Route 82 over Route 9 Northbound and Southbound in the town of Chester.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge repair will be performed on Bridge #01682 carrying Route 82 over Route 9 Northbound and Southbound in the town of Chester.

 

This steel repair will occur on Bridge #01682 carrying Route 82 over Route 9 Northbound and Southbound in the town of Chester. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 through Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect a various lane closure on Route 9 northbound and southbound in the town of Chester.  Northbound from Rt. 148 on ramp to Rt. 82 on ramp to Rt 9 and southbound between Exit 8 on ramp to Exit 7 off ramp. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

No work will be conducted before and after the Memorial Day holiday.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
