Scheduled Daytime Shoulder Closures on the Merritt Parkway in Norwalk and Westport on April 26, 2021
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled daytime shoulder closures on the Merritt Parkway on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 9 AM to 3 PM, between Exits 40 and 41 in Norwalk and Westport. The shoulder closures are necessary for preparatory construction activities associated with Project 0102-0368, which involves resurfacing, safety improvements, landscaping enhancements, and bridge improvements to the Merritt Parkway between Exits 40 and 41.
Motorists can anticipate daytime northbound and southbound rolling shoulder closures in Norwalk and Westport for approximately 6 hours beginning at 9 AM and ending by 3 PM on April 26, 2021.
Project 0102-0368 was awarded to Waters Construction Co. at a cost of $33,683,963.01 on March 31, 2021, and is scheduled to be completed December 30, 2022.
