Scheduled Closure and Detour of Mosher Avenue in Groton for Bridge Work
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Mosher Avenue in Groton from September 7, 2021, through December 1, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the rehabilitation (complete superstructure replacement) of Bridge 03903 which carries Mosher Avenue over Amtrak Railroad in Groton.
The detour route is Mosher Avenue to Ward Avenue to Main Street to Terrace Avenue to Marsh Road to Groton Long Point to State Route 215.
DOT Project 0058-0336 was awarded to Manafort Brothers, Inc. at a cost of $7,377,959.34 and is scheduled to be completed May 23, 2022.
