Scheduled Bridge Maintenance Work on Route 32 Southbound to I-95 Northbound in New London
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 32 southbound to I-95 northbound in New London from Monday, May 10, 2021, through Friday, June 4, 2021. The project involves concrete repairs to Bridge 02611.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 Bridge Maintenance Program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction, LLC.
Motorists can expect various lane closures on Route 32 southbound to the I-95 northbound on-ramp. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, Monday evening through Friday morning. No work will be conducted before and after May 31st, 2021, for the Memorial Day holiday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
