The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to replace Bridge 01547 in Franklin.
The project involves the replacement of Bridge 01547 carrying Route 207 over Beaver Brook, located approximately 0.2 miles west of the intersection of Route 207 and Route 610.
The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in October 2023, with construction anticipated to start in the spring of 2024, assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding and receipt of any required right-of-way and environmental permits. This project will be undertaken with 100-percent state funds.
It is the Department's policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns with the Department to assist in the project's development. The Department expects to hold a public hearing upon the completion of the preliminary design.
