Rehabilitation of Bridge 02668 Route 140 over Charters Brook in the Town of Ellington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge rehabilitation project will be performed on Route 140 (Crystal Lake Road) and Webster Road in the Town of Ellington beginning on June 1, 2021.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge rehabilitation project will be performed on Route 140 (Crystal Lake Road) and Webster Road in the Town of Ellington beginning on June 1, 2021.

 

DOT Project No. 0047-0119 was awarded to Gerber Construction Corporation on February 26, 2020 at a cost of $2,396,646.62 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2021. The project consists of bridge rehabilitation and full depth roadway construction on Route 140 over Charters Brook (Bridge No.02668) and sightline improvements at Webster Road at the intersection of Route 140, in Ellington. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 140 and Webster Road in Ellington Monday through Sunday. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. 

 

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
