Ramp Closure Scheduled for I 84 WB Exit 45 to Flatbush Avenue starting June 4 in the Town of Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Exit 45 I-84 WB to Flatbush Ave. will be closed beginning Friday June 04, 2021 for the Rehabilitation of Bridges on I-84 WB in Hartford. Ramp closures will be between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Friday beginning June 04, 2021 and ending by June 05, 2021 weather permitting.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Exit 45 I-84 WB to Flatbush Ave. will be closed beginning Friday, June 04, 2021 for the Rehabilitation of Bridges on I-84 WB in Hartford. Ramp closures will be between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Friday beginning June 04, 2021 and ending by June 05, 2021 weather permitting.

The project consists of structural steel repairs, concrete repairs, bridge deck and joint repairs on Bridge Numbers 03367 and 03368 I-84 over New Park Ave, Amtrak, CT Fastrak and SR 504 in Hartford.

DOT Project No. 0063-0705 was awarded to Waters Construction Co., Inc. at a cost of $8,092,126.22 on January 26, 2018 and is scheduled to be completed May 31, 2021. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.

EXIT 45 Ramp Detour Information:

Exit 45 will be closed starting June 04, 2021 Friday 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday June 05, 2021 weather permitting.

Exit 45 I-84 WB to Flatbush Ave. Detour:

Travel I-84 Westbound to Exit 44, at bottom of ramp take right onto Kane Street at next light take right onto Prospect Avenue, follow Prospect Avenue to merge onto New Park Avenue follow New Park to the next intersection which is Flatbush Avenue.
