Milling on I-84 Eastbound and Westbound in Newtown Bethel Brookfield and Danbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the installation of a shoulder rumble strip on I-84 from exit 8 to 9 in Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield and Danbury.
The project consists of the milling of bituminous concrete to add a shoulder rumble strip on I-84 in Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield and Danbury. This work will be performed on Sunday December 12, 2021 to Monday December 13, 2021.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 E&W/B from exit 8 to 9. Truck mounted attenuators, Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
