The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 201 in Griswold.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.78-mile segment of Route 201 in Griswold. The milling portion for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5, 2021, through Monday, May 10, 2021. The resurfacing portion of this project is anticipated to be performed Monday, May 17, 2021, through Thursday, May 20, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 201 from the North Stonington town line to Route 165 in Griswold. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
