Guiderail Upgrade Project on Route 68 in Prospect and Cheshire
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work activities will take place from Monday, April 12, 2021, through Thursday, May 27, 2021, for the project to upgrade guiderail on Route 68 in Prospect and Cheshire.
The project consists of upgrading existing wood pole guide rail systems to current modern systems on Route 68 at various intersections between route 69 and route 70.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 68. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
