Construction of CTDOT Repair and Maintenance Facility in Putnam

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work activities for the construction of a new CTDOT maintenance and repair facility in Putnam.

The project consists of the construction of a new maintenance and repair facility and the demolition of the existing combined maintenance and repair facility located at 3 Industrial Park Road in Putnam. The new maintenance building will consist of an approximately 30,220 square foot bay area and a 2,400 square foot office area. The new repair building will consist of an approximately 24,000 square foot bay area and a 2,400 square foot office area. Two cold storage buildings will also be constructed on site.

Alternating one-way traffic may occur periodically on Industrial Park Road during the installation of underground utility services to the site. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

DOT Project No. 0115-0121 was awarded to Burlington Construction Company at a cost of $22,463,000.00 on February 10, 2021, and is scheduled to be completed by January 27, 2024.
