The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of Route 137 (Washington Boulevard) between Main Street and Tresser Boulevard in Stamford, beginning on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 8 PM, until Monday, April 26, 2021 at 6 AM. The closure and detour of vehicular and pedestrian traffic is necessary to facilitate the dismantling of a construction crane.
This project is being performed by LMV II 885 Washington Holdings, LP, Katerra, Inc. under an encroachment permit.
Motorists can expect Route 137 (Washington Blvd) to be closed between Main Street and Tresser Boulevard. Signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists and pedestrians around the work zone. Motorists and pedestrians should follow posted detour signs along city streets and state roads to guide them around the closure. Pedestrians please note that through traffic to and from Washington Boulevard will not be permitted.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
