Bridge Maintenance Scheduled on I-84 Westbound in Vernon
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 westbound in Vernon.
The project consists of asphaltic joint repairs on I-84 westbound between exists 65-63 in Vernon. Work is scheduled to begin the night of Tuesday, May 25, 2021, and continue through the morning of Friday, June 11, 2021. No work will be performed the day before or after the Memorial Day Holiday.
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 westbound between exists 65-63 in Vernon. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Fridays).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
