Bridge Joint Replacement Gold Star Memorial Bridge
The project consists of replacing joints on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge (#3819) on I-95 Northbound over the Thames River in New London. This project is scheduled for Thursday evening, November 4, 2021, through Tuesday morning, November 23, 2021. No work will be performed on November 11, 2021, due to the Veteran’s Day holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Bridge Maintenance Forces Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge (#3819) on I-95 Northbound over the Thames River in New London. State troopers, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday evenings – Saturday mornings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
