The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge inspection work will be performed on the Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) bridge over Pequonnock River in Bridgeport. Route 130 between Water Street and Route 127 (East Main Street) will be closed to traffic during the inspection process. This project is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 8, 2021 weather permitting. The work schedule for this project is 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Route 130 will be closed for the inspection of the bridge from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Detour: From west of the bridge, motorists can travel north (left) on Housatonic Avenue, east (right) on East Washington Avenue, then south (right) on East Main Street back to Stratford Avenue. From east of the bridge, travel north (right) on East Main Street, west (left) on East Washington Avenue, south (left) on Housatonic Avenue, then taking a right turn back to Stratford Avenue.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
