1. What do you do?
I am an HR Associate with the Equal Employment Opportunity Center of Excellence. In my role, I partner with State agencies to ensure compliance with affirmative action/equal employment. I conduct investigations regarding equal employment and write and review affirmative action plans. Additionally, I assist in hiring practices related to affirmative action/equal employment.

2. Why do you work for the State of Connecticut? 
I work for the State of Connecticut because I enjoy giving back to the state in which I grew up. I also work for the State of Connecticut because I enjoy the diversity and values the state offers.

3. What do you love about your job so far?
I love being able to help State employees enjoy a fair and equitable workplace.

4. What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy baking, cooking, watching movies and television shows (especially comedies as I love to laugh), and reading! If anyone has a good recipe, movie, TV show, or book recommendation, I’d love to hear them!

5. Where is your favorite place that you have traveled?
My favorite place I have traveled is to Hershey, Pennsylvania! It’s the perfect place for someone with as big a sweet tooth as I have!

6. What would you tell someone interested in working for the state? 
I would tell someone interested in working for the state to keep visiting the Online Employment Center (OEC). There are numerous great opportunities in a variety of interesting fields for candidates located at the OEC! The State of CT is a great place to build a career and enjoy the benefits of valuable teamwork!

7. Where is your favorite place in Connecticut? 
My favorite place in Connecticut is Mystic, CT, specifically Olde Mystic Village. It has an old New England charm and something for everyone, whether it’s a great place to eat, shop, or just sit and watch the ducks in the pond! It’s very serene and tranquil.

8. If you could choose one superpower, what would it be, and why?
I would choose the superpower of flying! Avoiding rush hour street traffic would save a lot of time!

9. Who inspires you and why?
My mother inspires me because she always puts others first and offers her love and support through any hardships I may face.

10. Tell us your favorite fun fact.
I have a fraternal twin sister! We have always had similar interests and now both work in the HR field!
