Apply for School Construction Grants
The Office of School Construction Grants & Review (OSCG&R) is responsible for the grant administration of all Connecticut public school construction projects seeking authorization for a State grant commitment. OSCG&R actively serves the 169 Connecticut municipalities, 17 Regional School Districts and 6 Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs) in the project application process.

Code Training and Education Fees Assessed on Municipal Building Permits
The legislature established a special fund that provides training specific to the State Building and Fire Codes. This fund is called the Code Education Fund, and is paid for by assessments on the construction value of local building permits.

2-22-2017 Conceptual and Schematic Design Review: Effective immediately, all school projects seeking State grant assistance as a “Priority List Project” shall be reviewed by the Office of School Construction Grants and Review at the “conceptual design” phase and again at the “schematic design” phase in addition to the currently required reviews.
