The purpose of the project is to improve the lane configuration along Route 2 Eastbound between Exits 6 and 8 to reduce the weaving movements and maintain the continuity of traffic flow.

All work is anticipated to occur within the State Right-of-Way; however, final sloping limits or construction access may require temporary easements.

Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2025 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s).  The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $12,000,000. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% Federal funds and 20% State funds.
