Project 0302-0023 Webpage
Welcome to the webpage for Project 0302-0023 MNRR Danbury Line Track & Slope Stabilization, in the Towns of Bethel and Wilton.
The purpose of the project is to stabilize embankment slopes within the Metro North Railroad Danbury branch by performing track profile modifications and track drainage improvements including proposed cross-culverts.
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.
Construction is anticipated to begin Summer 2026 based on the availability of funding and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $4,000,000. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
