Project 0077-0248 Webpage

Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0077-0248 Replacement of Bridge carrying Juniper Lane over Mount Hope River in Mansfield.

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation. The purpose of the project is to address deficiencies in the bridge identified by recent inspections. The project will increase roadway width to meet federal standards, mitigate scour, improve hydraulics, improve load carrying capacity, and improve safety standards for the bridge and approach rail systems.

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project will include partial takes, drainage right of way, permanent slope easements, temporary construction easements along with rights to grade, rights to construct driveways, and rights to remove and reconstruct stone walls.

Construction is expected to begin spring 2027 depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $4.55 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
