CTDOT is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on State Route 495 in Meriden from Miller Avenue to the access to Route 15 north/southbound and the Meriden Maintenance Facility.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on State Route 495 in Meriden from Miller Avenue to the access to Route 15 north/southbound and the Meriden Maintenance Facility. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.44-mile segment of State Route 495 in Meriden. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Thursday, June 13 to Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, June 23 to Friday, June 28, 2024, by Tilcon Connecticut.

This project is included in the District 1, CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures on State Route 495 in Meriden from Miller Avenue to the access to Route 15 north/southbound and the Meriden Maintenance Facility. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Thursday, June 13 to Friday, June 28, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
