UPDATED: Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 80 in New Haven and East Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 80 in New Haven and East Haven starting Sunday, June 9, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.08 miles of Route 80 in New Haven and East Haven. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 9 through Monday, July 1, 2024. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 9 through Friday, June 14, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 16 through Monday, July 1, 2024.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 80 from Rt.17 (Middletown Ave.) New Haven to Mill Street/Thompson Street East Haven. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
