The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Greenwich. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.75 miles of Route 1 in Greenwich. The milling will start at the NY border and progress to Dearfield Dr. and the paving will also start at the NY border and progress to Dearfield Dr. This project is scheduled to occur the night of Sunday, April 14 through the morning of Thursday, May 2, 2024. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, April 14 through Monday, April 22, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, April 22 through Thursday, May 2, 2024.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from the New York state line to Dearfield Drive. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
