The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing exit number revisions on I-384 from Manchester to Bolton. This project is scheduled to occur on starting on September 22, 2024, and be completed October 6, 2025.
The project 0170-5026 consists of the replacement of large, extruded aluminum signs and sign supports along the freeway section on Route 6 and along the entirety of I-384. To be in conformance with Federal standards, exit numbers on I-384 are required to be revised from the existing sequential numbering to mileage-based numbering. Motorists can expect to see both old and new exit numbers displayed while work progresses. Variable message signs will be advising motorists in the area two weeks prior to implementing the exit renumbering.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-5026 was awarded to The Quaker Corporation at a cost of $7,397,856.00 on November 28, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed October 6, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
