Wrong Way Detection Installation: Route 3 and I-91 Southbound in Wethersfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a wrong way detection installation project will be performed on Route 3 and I-91 southbound in Wethersfield on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This project is administered by CTDOT Electrical Sign Installation, District 1.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect closures on Route 3 and I-91 southbound in Wethersfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone.
Traffic for Route 3 south, will be detoured to I-91 southbound to Exit 24, right off the exit and follow detour signs back.
Traffic for I-91 south will be detoured to Exit 24 southbound, take the right off-ramp and follow detour signs.
The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
