Update on Bridge Closure at Route 128 in West Cornwall
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Route 128 at the West Cornwall Covered Bridge will be open from 5 p.m. - 7 a.m. Monday-Thursday and will remain open all day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. It will remain closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
This schedule will start beginning Friday, January 6, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. and remain in place until repairs are completed. During periods of closure the detour route will remain in place. Motorists will follow the detour listed during the hours of closure.
DETOUR INFO:
The detour route is Route 7 to Route 4 to Route 125.
Variable message signs (VMS) and boards will guide motorists through the detour. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
