Tree Removal Right Lane Closure: Route 15 and Exit 56 Off-Ramp Southbound in Orange

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree removal operation will require the closure of the right lane on Route 15 southbound and Exit 56 off-ramp in Orange. The day work is scheduled to occur Sunday, October 1, 2023.

The tree removal operation will be performed by state forces of CTDOT maintenance.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect a right lane closure to occur on Route 15 southbound in Orange, between Exit 57 (Route 34, Derby Turnpike) and Exit 56 (Route 121, Grassy Hill Rd) and the closure of Exit 56 off-ramp. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The day work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday morning to Sunday night.

 

  Traffic intended for the Exit 56 off-ramp will be detoured to the Exit 55 off-ramp, take a left onto Wheeler Farm Road, continue left onto Wolf Harbor Road, take the Exit 55 on-ramp northbound to the Exit 56 off-ramp, then motorists will be back to Grassy Hill Road.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
