The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the application of ultra-thin bonded overlay preservation treatments on the following sections of State roads in Berlin and Cromwell: Route 372 eastbound and westbound from SR 572 (Worthington Ridge/Frontage Road) to .07 miles west of Route 3 (Shunpike Road) beginning April 6, 2023.
This project consists of catch basin top replacement and surface treatments including patching, crack sealing, milling and placement of Ultra-Thin Bonded Overlay on State-owned and maintained roads as well as minor sidewalk and traffic signal upgrades at various intersections.
DOT Project No. 0171-0487 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut Inc. at a cost of $12,129.769.50 on February 28, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2023. The project is being administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Beginning on April 6, 2023 with anticipated completion of November 30, 2023, motorists can expect various lane closures on Route 372 eastbound and westbound from SR 572 (Worthington Ridge/ Frontage Road) to .07 miles west of Route 3 (Shunpike Road).
These lane closures may occur Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and/or 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. In addition, work activities may occur on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
