Route 15 Merritt Parkway Safety Improvements, Resurfacing, Enhancements, and Bridge Improvements in New Canaan and Norwalk

Project 0102-0296 involves the implementation of various safety improvements along Route 15 from Exit 37 (Route 124/ South Avenue) to Exit 40B (Main Avenue). Due to milling and paving operations near Exit 38, temporary overnight closures of Exit 38 southbound on and off ramps will be necessary to allow safe passage of the equipment.

Ramps that will be affected include the northbound and southbound off-and-on at Exit 38. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. During any ramp closure, a signed detour will be in place to guide motorists to the original destination. Message boards will also be in place on the Merritt Parkway, providing information at least one exit before the closure.

CTDOT Project No. 0102-0296 was awarded to Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. at the cost of $55,711,300.00 on April 13, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed on October 31, 2024. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 3, in New Haven.
