Refacing the Retaining Wall on Route 10 in Cheshire
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the retaining wall on Route 10 in Cheshire, located at approximately 283 South Main Street, will be refaced over the next several weeks.
The project entails removing the face and cap of the wall. The contractor will then form and pour a new face and cap. The retaining wall on Route 10 is structurally sound and poses no threat of failure, as this work is being performed for aesthetic reasons. The work is expected to begin on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 and is expected to be completed on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
There are no lane closures expected. A lane shift will be utilized in order to keep two-way traffic open throughout the duration of the project.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
