The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 14 in Plainfield starting on Tuesday, September 19 through Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.60-mile segment of Route 14 in Plainfield. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 19 through Thursday morning, September 21, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday evening, September 24 through Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 14 from Route 12 (Main Street) to Squaw Rock Road in Plainfield. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday evening – Thursday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
