The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 111 in Monroe. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.35 miles of Route 111 in Monroe. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, July 24 through Friday, August 4, 2023. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 24 through Wednesday, July 26, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 4, 2023.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 111 from Josies Ring Road to Route 34 (Roosevelt Drive). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday morning through Friday night.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
