The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Eastford and Pomfret.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.70-mile segment of Route 44 in Eastford and Pomfret. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2023 through Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
The resurfacing segment for this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 through Friday, May 26, 2023.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 44 from 0.25 mi. west of the Frog Rock Rest Area entrance in Eastford to the west junction of Route 169 in Pomfret. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
