The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a drainage improvement project will be temporarily detouring traffic for a 32-hour weather dependent consecutive time frame starting on Monday, July 10 and ending on Friday, July 14, 2023. The project consists of drainage improvements along Route 337 along with elimination of the existing abutment outfall, and the new installation of a manhole in the center of Route 337 to redirect storm water to a newly installed outfall upstream.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR
Motorists can expect a road closure on Route 337 between Canna Drive and Meadow View Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the detour. The southbound detour will consist of motorists traveling down Route 1, taking a right on Hemingway Ave. and then continuing onto Route 337. The northbound detour will consist of motorist traveling on Route 337, proceeding onto Hemingway Ave then turning left onto Route 1.
Access to local businesses will remain open to public.
