Tree Removal on Route 15, Interstate 95, SR 796, and Route 1 in Milford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree removal operation will require the closure of the right lane and ramps on Route 15 Southbound, Interstate 95 Southbound, SR 796 Eastbound and Route 1 Northbound and Southbound in Milford.
The night work is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday November 28, 2022 through the morning of Wednesday November 30, 2022.
The tree removal operation will be performed by Distinctive Tree Care LLC.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect right lane closure to occur on Route 15 Southbound in Milford, between Exit 55 (Wellington Road) and Exit 54 (Milford PKWY.) and Interstate 95 Southbound in Milford, between Exit 39A (Route 1 Boston Post Road) and Exit 38 (Milford Pkwy) and SR 796 Eastbound in Milford, between Exit 2-B (Interstate 95 Southbound) and Exit 2-A (Interstate 95 Northbound) and Route 1 Southbound and Northbound in Milford, between Meadow Street and West River Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday night through Wednesday morning).

Ramp closure of I-95 Southbound exit 38 off ramp. Detour exit 36 off ramp, right onto Plains Road, left onto exit 36 on ramp northbound to exit 38 off ramp.
Ramp closure of SR-796 exit 3-A Northbound on ramp. Detour SR-796 Milford Pkwy to Route 15 Southbound exit 53 off ramp, left onto Main Street, right onto exit 53 on ramp Route 15 Northbound.
Ramp closure of Route 15 exit 54 Southbound and Wellington Road on ramp southbound. Detour Route 15 southbound exit 53 off ramp, left onto Main Street, right onto exit 53 on ramp northbound to exit 54 off ramp.
Ramp closure of SR-796 Eastbound exit 2-A on ramp. Detour SR-796 Eastbound exit 2-B to Interstate 95 Southbound exit 36 off ramp, left onto Plains Road, left onto exit 36 on ramp to Interstate 95 northbound.
Ramp closure SR-796 on ramp eastbound from route 1. Detour SR-796 on ramp westbound from route 1.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
