Tree Removal on I-95 in Fairfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree removal operation will require the closure of the right lanes on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound in Fairfield.

The work is scheduled to occur Tuesday May 31, 2022 through the Friday June 24, 2022.

The tree removal operation will be performed by Distinctive Tree Care LLC.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect right lane closure to occur on I-95 Northbound in Westport, Fairfield and Bridgeport between Exit 18 (Sherwood Island Connector) and Exit 25 (State Street) and I-95 Southbound in Bridgeport, Fairfield and Westport between Exit 25 (State Street) and Exit 18 (Sherwood Island Connector). The work schedule for this project is Monday – Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
