The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on Interstate 395 northbound and southbound from Exit 35 in Plainfield to Exit 24 in Griswold.
The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 21, 2022through Friday, January 13, 2023. Road restrictions require that this work end at 4:00 p.m. on November 22, December 22, and December 29, 2022, and will resume at 8:00 a.m. on November 28 and December 27, 2022, and January 3, 2023, due to the Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures on I-395, southbound from Exit 35 in Plainfield to Exit 24 in Griswold and Exit 2, northbound from Exit 24 in Griswold to Exit 35 in Plainfield. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
