The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the replacement of traffic control signals to meet current standards at various locations in Western Connecticut starting April 1, 2023.
The project consists of removing old span poles, traffic lights and wiring to be replaced with all new equipment to bring everything up to date on current specifications for traffic signals. There will be multiple intersections updated in Danbury, Derby, Farmington, Naugatuck, New Fairfield, New Milford, Ridgefield and Woodbury.
DOT Project No. 0174-0424 was awarded to Ferguson Electric Co., Inc. at a cost of $4,967,798.00 on August 10, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed June 3, 2024. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.
