The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 101 in Pomfret and Killingly.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.17-mile segment of Route 101 in Pomfret and Killingly. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5, 2022, through Friday, July 29, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, August 1, 2022, through Tuesday, CTDOT is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 101 in Pomfret and September 6, 2022. No work will be performed on September 5, 2022, due to the Labor Day holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 101 from Route 44 (Mashamoquet Road) in Pomfret to the west junction of Valley Road in Killingly. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The milling work schedule is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (7/5/22 – 7/29/22). The daytime paving work schedule is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (8/1/22 – 8/12/22). There will be a project work break from 8/15/22 – 8/23/22. Work will resume at nighttime on 8/24/22. The nighttime paving work schedule is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (8/24/22 – 9/6/22).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
