The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 83 from US 6 & 44 (Center Street) to the beginning overlap of Route 30 Demming Street in Manchester.
The project DOT01710478CN “L” consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.61-mile segment of Route 83 from US 6 & 44 (Center Street) to the beginning overlap of Route 30 Demming Street in Manchester. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Thursday September 8, 2022, to Friday, September 16, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, September 18, 2022, to Friday, September 23, 2022, by American Industries.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 83 from US 6 & 44 (Center Street) to the beginning overlap of Route 30 Demming Street in Manchester. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
