The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 in Columbia.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.17-mile segment of Route 6 in Columbia. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2022 through Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, September 12, 2022 through Friday, September 23, 2022.
This project is included in the CTDOT 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 6 from the beginning of the divided highway to the intersection of Route 66 eastbound in Columbia. The regular work schedule for this project is from Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
