Guardrails Upgrade Route 83 in Ellington and Somers
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 83 in Ellington and Somers.
The project consists of upgrading guiderail on Route 83 in Ellington and Somers, from Kibbe Road to Route 190. This work is anticipated to begin on Monday, January 10, 2022 to Friday, January 28, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 83 in Ellington and Somers, from Kibbe Road to Route 190. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for upgrading this guiderail is 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
