The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut.
The project consists of epoxy pavement marking applications on various limited and non-limited access roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut. This project is scheduled to begin on Sunday evening, August 7, 2022 through Wednesday morning, November 2, 2022. Work will end at 5 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, and will resume at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, due to the Labor Day holiday. Work will also end at 5 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, and will resume at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, due to the Columbus Day holiday.

This moving operation will use the proper crash attenuator vehicles. Two or more vendor’s vehicles with flashing arrows will be spaced behind the marking machine. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone as needed. One state trooper will be used on the limited access roadways.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
