The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Madison.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.84 miles of Route 1 in Madison. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 6, 2021 through Thursday, July 1, 2021. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 6, 2021 through Wednesday, June 16, 2021. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 20, 2021 through Thursday, July 1, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from the Guilford Town Line to Route 79 (Durham Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
