The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 705 in West Haven.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.63 miles of Route 705 in West Haven. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, July 6, 2021 through Friday, July 30, 2021. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, through Wednesday, July 14, 2021. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, July 25, 2021, through Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 705 from Route 162 (Jones Hill Road) to Route 162 (Platt Avenue). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
