The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 63 and Route 749 in Woodbridge.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.32 miles of Route 63 & Route 749 in Woodbridge. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, through Monday, June 28, 2021. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, through Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
No work will occur during the weekend of July 4th from Friday morning July 2, 2021 through Monday, July 5, 2021. Work will resume on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 63 from the New Haven Town Line to 0.87 mile North of Route 114 and on Route 749 from Route 63 (Amity Road) to Route 69 (Litchfield Turnpike). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
