The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 in Plymouth from Route 72 to the Bristol City Line.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.49-mile segment of Route 6. The milling portion of the project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, August 24, 2021 to Tuesday, August 24, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, September 7, 2021, to Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
