Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 540 in East Granby
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 540 in East Granby.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.43-mile segment of Route 540 from Route 189 to Route 187. The milling portion of the project is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 3, 2021, and be completed on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled to occur on Monday, May 10, 2021, and be completed on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect delays and one-way alternating Traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Monday through Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
