The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 140 from Route 75 (Ella T. Grasso Tpke) to Route 159 (South Main Street) in Windsor Locks.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.28-mile segment of Route 140 from Route 75 (Ella T. Grasso Tpke) to Route 159 (South Main Street) in Windsor Locks. The milling portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Monday, September 20, 2021, to Monday, September 27, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Monday, September 27, 2021, to Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 140 from Route 75 (Ella T. Grasso Tpke) to Route 159 (South Main Street) in Windsor Locks. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
