The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 14 in Plainfield.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.53-mile segment of Route 14 in Plainfield. The milling portion of the project is scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2021, through Friday, September 17, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled for Monday, September 20, 2021, through Thursday, September 30, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 14 from the west junction of Route 14A to Route 12 in Plainfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
